Ellsworth Correctional Facility Waste Management Team

Members of the ECF Green Team are very excited to be able to reduce our facility's foot print on the environment through an aggressive recycling program. Our facility currently recycles aluminum, tin, scrap metal, all types of bond paper, newspapers, magazines, corrugated and non-corrugated cardboard, wood pallets, used oil and antifreeze, non-serviceable clothing, and all plastics. We are accomplishing this task by educating our inmates, facility employees, and contract personnel through e-mails, closed circuit television, and personal visits to areas throughout the facility by the Green Team. Each team member is assigned a designated area to ensure that the recycling is being collected and processed efficiently. Through effective management, the Facility Green Team Program will measure up to the standard excellence expected at ECF.
