Kansas Dept of Health & Environment South Central District Office - The Green Recyclers
The KDHE South Central District office in Wichita started our Green Recycler's Team in February of 2007. Before that we were already recycling paper, aluminum cans, small and large printer cartridges. Our Green Recycler's team consists of Barbara Stohr, John Goetz, Zack Phillips, Heath Horyna, Meer Husain, and Carole Clyne. We are responsible for sorting our recycled products, getting an empty paper recycle bin each Wednesday, and delivering our items to ProKS Miller. Approximately 40 employees participate in our recycling efforts. Our office has always reused manila folders, binders, and printed paper as scratch paper. We purchase recycled paper towels and some recycled copier paper.
