The Kansas Green Team Assembly and Awards Luncheon held on July 16 was attended by 96 participants. Highlights of the event included a keynote address by Green TV host Simran Sethi and an awards luncheon in which awards were presented as follows: Best Green Purchasing Program - Division of Legislative Post Audit; Best Recycling Program - Kansas Neurological Institute; Best Waste Reduction Program - Lansing Correctional Facility. Twelve other state agencies and offices received recognition certificates for their waste reduction, recycling, and green purchasing efforts.
